FCI in 2017 - What a year!
As 2017 draws to a close, we look back at our year highlights and reflect on the great partners and resellers that we have on board with us.
At the end of 2016, we made a promise to you that our report prices will remain the same throughout 2017. Not only have we done exactly that, we’ve also introduced new and improved developments such as;
Exclusive Contaminated Land Insurance
At the start of the year, we announced a new exclusive suite of residential Contaminated Land Insurance with CLS – the number one hub for property data and insurance. As a result of this we are now able to deliver competitive premiums, best in class cover and expert, in-house underwriters for more bespoke policies. For more info click here.
Specialist Flood Risk Services
In March 2017, we teamed up with JBA Consulting (JBA), the leading flood consultant, to create the first affordable range of flood risk solutions enabling homebuyers or commercial property purchasers to determine and properly understand flood risk. The new services are tailored to a range of different circumstances, providing peace of mind and assistance with buying decisions where flood risk is disclosed in an environmental search. Air quality data
With air quality becoming an increasing concern amongst potential property buyers, in June 2017, FCI introduced air quality management area data to all FCI reports at no extra cost. By doing so, it provides a good indication of whether there is a potential risk from air pollutants within an area but does not affect the result of the report. Read more.
Individual flood risk thumbnails maps
In July 2017, we moved away from showing all flood risks in one large map to introduce individual flood risk thumbnails to show a cleaner presentation of the potential flood risks. The flood thumbnails visually show the risk to the property area with a clear key rating alongside the further action - so it’s easy to marry up the severity of the risk shown on the map. Subsidence Risk Rating
In September, we teamed up with leading property services specialists, Property Assure to include an exclusive Subsidence Risk Rating to FCI Standard and Premium reports. The Risk Rating uses extensive subsidence insurance claims data and analyses and determines the level of risk of subsidence at a specific postcode – allowing for greater accuracy and clarity of the risk.
